Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or struggling to cope? Perhaps life feels difficult to manage right now, or you’re carrying thoughts, feelings, or experiences that you don’t quite know what to do with.
Maybe you are experiencing anxiety or depression, dealing with grief or loss, relationship difficulties, trauma, or questions around sexuality or identity. Perhaps you’re navigating autism, ADHD, or other neurodiversity, living with long-term illness, facing a difficult change, or finding that experiences from your past are still affecting you today. You may not even know exactly what is wrong, just that you don’t feel quite yourself and want things to feel different.
Are you a parent worried about your child, struggling to understand what they are going through, or finding it difficult to know how best to support them? You don’t have to work it out alone.
You don’t need to have the answers, know where to begin, or even be sure that counselling is right for you. I offer a warm, accepting, confidential, and non-judgemental space for adults, young people, children, couples, and parents to feel heard, understood, and able to explore whatever has brought them here.

Hello, I’m Catherine, and I became part of the team at Rutland Psychotherapy in the Summer of 2025.
I am a BACP-accredited humanistic and integrative counsellor and qualified youth worker. I bring experience of supporting people across different ages and stages of life. I draw on person-centred, attachment, CBT, psychodynamic, mindfulness, solution-focused, somatic and trauma-informed approaches, adapting our work to you rather than expecting you to fit a particular model.
Whatever brings you here, we can start wherever you are.
